ANAP is an independent accreditation body with its own memorandum of association and rules.
It is a not-for-profit, self-funding international organisation that accepts applicants from conformity assessment bodies worldwide, regardless of size, location or affiliation.
ANAP is a legally registered entity in the United States and is independent of any US government department. Its secretariat administers the certification method, coordinates technical committees and develops new programs.

What is accreditation?+
Accreditation is the independent evaluation of a conformity assessment body (a certification body, laboratory or inspection body, for example) against recognised international standards. It confirms the body is competent, impartial and consistent.
What is the difference between certification and accreditation?+
Certification confirms that a product, person or management system meets a standard. Accreditation confirms that the body doing the certifying, testing or inspecting is competent to do so.
Who can apply to ANAP?+
Certification bodies, testing laboratories, inspection bodies, companies, individuals and training providers such as lead auditor course providers can apply, regardless of size, location or affiliation.
How do I verify an ANAP accreditation certificate?+
Use the Accreditation Search page, or email info@usa-anap.org with the certificate details and we will confirm it.
May I use the ANAP logo?+
Accredited bodies and their certified clients may use the logo within the accredited scope and under the rules on the Use of Logo page. Commercial use of the logo, or anything resembling it, is prohibited.
